The icelandic artist provokes again. Olafur Eliasson brings ice blocks directly from Greenland to the artistic heart of Europe: Tate Modern, London.
The Greenland ice sheet is currently losing 200–300 billion tonnes of ice a year.
That’s about 10,000 of Eliasson’s ice blocks per second.
Eliasson is trying to make climate change tangible in the hopes of instigating change. Because “what happens in the Arctic doesn’t stay in the Arctic.”
